Just the 4 episodes? Surely you have more material!!

Wanetah Walmsley– March 1st, 2014

Hi Kate! I heard you speak tonight at Lesly Kahn's…I had to come home and watch The Actor Diaries immediately after! Wow!!! How inspiring and entertaining you are! Thank you so much for sharing so much! I love your work! I can't wait to see "The Idea" you come out w/ when you create your ultimate show!!! No doubt in my mind, I'll see you at the top!

Ron Torrez– March 30th, 2012

Kate, It's genius! The subtlety, the physical humor, the timing, everything. Keep up the good work.

Jane Smith– March 30th, 2012

I absolutely love this series! I'm sincerely hoping for a revival :)

Steven Wright – November 1st, 2011

Hey Kate - Kristina here from NY! These are HYS-TER-I-CAL! I was laughing out loud, while at my day job, lol!! Congrats!

Tamara – July 15th, 2011

Love it, thanks for making me feel like I'm not the only one having "moments" as an auditioner!

Would love to see one about the lead up to the audition (driving the car while doing lines and hair) (how your life completely stops when audition prepping, and then the moment you walk out the cd's door, your life starts again)(picking out wardrobe, parking the car in the rain, running for bus)

Josh – June 24th, 2011

Terrific! Can't wait to see more...awesome work:)

Paul Donelan – June 7th, 2011

Lucy M – January 20th, 2011

I just saw these episodes at the Standing Rock International Film Festival! Congrats on winning the People's Choice award! It was really clever; I think it just goes to show that people will pick a cute, funny film over an elaborate mediation on melancholy any day.

keep going – January 9th, 2011

i hope there is more to come. i really enjoyed this.

Alex Cochise – November 21st, 2010

Very, very nice. I'm usually wary of links that actors (or directors, or...) leave on their postings, but yours were a pleasure to watch. Really funny. Thank you for the fun time.

Cheers

Alex Cochise

Patrick Gorman – October 11th, 2010

I'm still laughing. Of course, I'm probably not the audience you want. I'm a journeyman actor - over 50 years in SAG - I vote for the Oscars but I'm not famous. You made me laugh and I'm coming to your seminar tonight. I know the internet is going to turn showbiz back to the actors and writers. At least that's the way it seems to me. You're on your way and I wish you the best. I loved what I saw. Thanks.

Greg in NYC – July 27th, 2010

I'm an actor in NYC. Great job! Keep it up! Looking forward to seeing more.

Patrick Vincent Ford (P4) – February 4th, 2010

Kate -- absolutely hilarious! You really made what was starting off to be a very negative day (already at 6am i was thinking of all the things wrong in my life -- you helped turn that 180 degrees and help me focus on the positive) -- thank you for the first good laugh i have had in a week!

OMG!!! The Cheese audition!!! Luv it!!! Great work! Good Luck! I can see great things coming for you :)

A Young Actor – November 19th, 2009

Really really funny! I've been doing research on the lifestyle of actors in order to figure out how to approach my parents with the idea of me becoming an actor professionally. It's nice to finally see someone turning something potentially daunting and serious into a comedic bit. Loved it!

-A Young Actor

Sonya T. Evans – September 10th, 2009

I love these episodes and your comedic performance. I'm sitting at my terminal at work and you made me laugh out loud.

From one Thespian to another -- thanks.

tally – September 8th, 2009

I almost fell over laughing! I saw this in the Dramatics magazine and thought hey i'll check it out, I like the internet afterall. But here I am begging for more!

P Quinn – September 4th, 2009

They were all funny and uncomfortably moving, but the fourth episode had me in tears. I hope that doesn't mean you will be in cardboard for all subsequent episodes. I hope you change it up, perhaps a small fire in your hair, or some producer messing in his drawers over your perceived incompetence. I know you'll come up with something.

Best wishes!!

P

Desmond – September 1st, 2009

Jim Terr – February 25th, 2009

"I'll bet you won't post this comment - within 24 hours or otherwise...!!!" just kidding. Hey Kate - "Mr. B" told me about this site and your stuff is brilliant. Wonderfully shot, acted, produced, and of course EDITED! Why aren't you famous yet? (well, maybe you are - I'm always a little behind on stuff). Saw you in that alien short, again, here in NM - you were also great in that. Stay in touch - your fan, Jim Terr. (See my YouTube short, "MISTER HOLLYWOOD" - you could probably relate).

Kate re: Figgy – February 14th, 2009

Dear Figgy,

I am oh so glad these gave you a laugh. Thank you for your kind note! We've been working hard on more episodes, and I'm happy to report that 3 more will be posted this week. Please check back on Wednesday!

All the best, Kate

Figgy – February 14th, 2009

Dear Kate,

I was MOST impressed by your clever use of the video camera and editing devices you used to create these wonderful little, itty-bitty short pieces, and by the enthusiasm you were able to muster when speaking the word "diarrhea!"

Yes my dear, you've got a bright future!

I was, however, disappointed that there were not more "The Actor Diaries" episodes available for viewing on your site. When, praytell, will this be corrected?

The Old Lizard,
Figgy

Aceqwerty – January 30th, 2009

I am really hoping that you guys come out with more of these soon!!!

Julie – January 4th, 2009

Comments: Really funny and oh soooooo TRUE!!!!

Tom'sMovieWorld – November 24th, 2008

Bravo Kate & Amy ! Just found you through modifoo - thx to him too !! Can't wait for more !

Old & Jaded – November 21st, 2008

Kate: will you marry me? OK, just a fantasy...but...?!!! Um, no seriously...

modifoo – November 20th, 2008

Love the Audition clip. I once worked filming for a (real) audition - and was amazed at how much those actors had to open up, and how unfriendly they were towards those upcoming acting souls.

Kate & Amy – November 15th, 2008

thank you! yes, great idea about the feed. we will be releasing 3 new episodes in January, and will make sure to add one.

t – November 15th, 2008

i really liked it! funny :) would be nice if you had a feed so i can get new episodes in itunes... otherwise it is frustating to check back again and again hoping for a new video ;)

KJ in Texas – October 9th, 2008

Keep up the good work Kate!

Tamin – September 30th, 2008

Kate you are a genius! And an absolutely delightful actress. "The Auditioner" is the best short film I have seen in a very long time. Congratulations on a brilliant, hysterical piece!!!

Josh Rosenthal – September 30th, 2008

nice. very funny. i like

Morgan – September 30th, 2008

as a new york actor...errr auditioner, both videos were awesome and perfectly true. can't wait to see more!

Bill – September 29th, 2008

So much expression; good voice modulation; video interestingly assembled for presentation. Enjoyable. They could have used you a while back in a movie, the website of which I'm working on. They will soon turn their attention to another project. I'll mention you to them. The trailer of their present movie is here: www.christiankeys.ca

CrisLark – September 17th, 2008

Fantastic!!! LOL!! I saw the videos on vimeo.com , that's so true!! Though the videos don't look like 2 episodes from the same "series", both are, in their own ways, very funny!

Kateri – August 19th, 2008

So funny Kate! Love the fire eating auditioner! Perfect outfit. Can't wait to see more. Let me know if you need any greasy haired, non-actor, actors :)

Chris – August 7th, 2008

Ran across this on Vimeo. Funny, funny, funny. I edit commercials and feel so bad for actors when they come in for auditions. You nailed it (of course you know that, you lived it!). Brilliant writing, perfectly cut, perfect acting... make more, lots more!

Jake – August 5th, 2008

Yes! Very funny. Nice work

Victor Turpin – August 2nd, 2008

Kate you are the funniest thing on internet hehehe

David Neal – July 10th, 2008

Watching here over in the UK. Brilliant!! Loved the Audition.

Kate – July 8th, 2008

Hi Don-I saw your reel and enjoyed it very much! Best of luck to you as well!

donstitt – July 8th, 2008

I saw where someone recommended my reel to you, and thought it was worth mentioning that a friend emailed your link last week and I had a good laugh myself, so thanks, and best of luck.

Brian Hamilton – July 1st, 2008

Kate, that is a painfully truthful, hilariously funny and very well done video! I've been doing on-camera commercials for almost 20 years... and I enjoyed watching it very much. Thank you ;-)

Jordana Capra – July 1st, 2008

These are sadly brilliant! I mean Sad. And True. And Brilliant. You know.

Elizabeth Popiel – June 28th, 2008

Wonderful! GREAT ! Fabulous....and so true.

riz popeer – June 28th, 2008

MORE ideas for episodes:
1. conversation with the agent on the phone. The actor has to careful explain who the heck he/she is even though they have been signed with the agency for 5 years.

2.explaining to persons at a party they they really ARE an actor. they have done broadway, Law & Order, tours etc for 20 years............but since they are not in anything RIGHT NOW....right this minute.........they are NOT an actor.

Kate...go see Don Stitt's reel on YOUTUBE to see a real commercial for Boston Globe that seemed so much like your hysterical imaginary situation. In his case, he was interviewing for jobs. Don't know where it is on the reel but its worth hunting for as you will like it! GREAT work...good luck on next one.

ronnyg – June 27th, 2008

Great work on the first one, Kate. Very funny throughout. The second one, I'm afraid, is a big drop-off. Just not that funny a premise, and because of that, not many funny moments. The audition premise just works better because we get to see something with some real import.

maurice – June 27th, 2008

great stuff!

Mike Lewis – June 27th, 2008

I love the concept really keep it up, I will make a post on www.kinogo.com

Ashley – June 25th, 2008

HILARIOUS. I think I 'bout peed my pants on the Audition skit. Good job ladies!!

SomeRandomGuy – June 23rd, 2008

Not an actor, but couldn't stop laughing at the auditions reel. Which, considering that I watched it in my very conservative office, was not such a good thing. Now that I'm out of work, I'm thinking of taking up commercial acting... where did you train to eat fire?

Kate – June 22nd, 2008

Thank you very much! Please keep us posted when your comedy goes up-we'd love to see it!

jsingah – June 22nd, 2008

Hey Kate and Amy- You are very talented people and I salute your work! LOL on both pieces. I've been in the business longer than you've been on the planet and really admire your savvy and taste. My friends and I are currently working on our own comedic project called "50 To Death." Keep an eye out for it. I'll also let you know when our website is up and running.

System Administrator – June 22nd, 2008

Hi Jack-Sorry you are having trouble viewing. The videos should work for anyone who has high-speed internet. Try waiting a few seconds to let the entire video load before you hit the playbar. If that doesn't work, try going here to view it at Vimeo.

Jack Diamond – June 22th, 2008

My playback of the video is severely halting. Any suggestion? What program is best for playback?

Pedro Ortega – June 20th, 2008

Congrats to you both, girls. I live in Brasil and visiting Vimeo have found your work. Its very funny and I enjoy a lot.
Put this site in my favorites and cant wait for more..
Kisses from Rio de Janeiro

Jeremy Bastian – March 10th, 2008

Hail to Kate!

If I don't see her on a commerical eating fire in the next month, I am boycotting all products mentioned in the clip. I don't know what Vagicil is but I know that Kate inspires me to purchase it.

Way to go and continue to put a smile on people's faces.

Nice, kids. Very funny... especially love Kate's lies about the fire-eating and the distinct decor and attitude difference between the LA and NY guys... and the website is very nice too!

Hola! I'm an actor currently in Las Vegas. Another actor/friend sent me this site and OH, MY GOD!!!!! You two keep doing what you're doing (create a prod. company NOW!), & just keep doing what you're doing!

YOU'RE A HIT!!!!

I have seen this many times. Funnier if you poke at product placement.

Amber – January 28, 2008
I totally identified with the girl in the red sequined outfit because I too burned down a small building due to a fire eating incident.

I still don't have any eyebrows.

DKB – January 28, 2008

Jaime D. – January 28, 2008
What a riot! You are hysterical my dear. ideas:
1. actors waiting to go into audition.....eyeballing and sizing each other up....body language only....no verbal.
2. first read- throughs when all the actors are giving something that is completely opposite of the directors' vision.
3. complaint calls to Equity/SAG/ AFTRA for rule violations.
Love ya, miss ya.
xoxoxoxo
